Microsoft Teams is a DevOps tool developed by Microsoft and hence included in the Microsoft Office package. IT@Cornell grants all Cornell students free access to the Office 365 ProPlus package, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. However, Teams is not included in the list and therefore must be installed manually. And since Teams is not included in the Office 365 ProPlus package, only faculty members are allowed to create new teams. Consequently, students need to request access from a faculty member - preferably the professor. This limits the guide to users who are within Cornell’s network and the information within the guide can be exported if the user is starting their own team.
