# Assigning Deadlines Within a Trello Card

Many times you will find that different tasks will need to be completed by a certain deadline. One of the key features within Trello is the “Dates” feature, which allows you to set a start/end time for the task at hand. Thinking back to classes like CS 3110 and CS 3410, projects were often divided into sprints that each needed to be completed by a certain time and had multiple assignments corresponding to each sprint that had a deadline. This specific Trello feature is perfect for in-class projects where time is limited. As seen in Figure 11B, you can even set reminders for the due-date of the task. This way, everybody that is assigned to the task will be aware when it is due.<br>
