Microsoft Teams is an application developed by Microsoft that is a center for communications in a team setting. It is used to chat, meet, call team members and allow for team members to call and video chat with each other [6]. In the Microsoft Teams application there are also opportunities to download extensions to the application itself, and later in the guide there will be instructions on how to add the Trello Extension on Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is an amazing tool to use as a centralized location for communication. This is due to the fact that other aspects of the project, such as an Agile board or relevant websites, can be linked to the team and displayed as tabs within the team’s site itself. This ability makes Microsoft Teams an organizational powerhouse, which is ideal for managing large development teams. While much direct communication can be done using the chat, meet, and call tools provided, Microsoft Teams also handles indirect communication by way of posting on a message board that is also essential for communication within the team. Having one location to arrange materials and conduct meetings is a very effective way of ensuring good communication is maintained within the team.
